About the Role

Altius Talent is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the freight forwarding industry. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients and nurturing relationships with existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in the international road and sea freight sector.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to the local market, focusing on both road and sea freight services.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape within the logistics industry.
  • Sales Proposals: Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, quotations, and contracts that meet the needs of potential clients.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline development, and performance against targets to the management team.
  • Industry Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry, with a strong focus on international road and sea freight.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is essential.
  • Qualifications: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including international shipping regulations, transportation modes, and market dynamics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex logistics solutions to clients.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
