Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary focus of this role is to oversee the commercial and technical training for Cognex's sales team. This position demands exceptional teaching, facilitation, and organizational capabilities, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, sales leaders, and human resources. You will be instrumental in crafting engaging techniques and strategies to convey essential messages with enthusiasm and energy. Additionally, you will play a vital role in promoting the Cognex culture within the team, embodying our core values of Work Hard, Play Hard, and Move Fast.
Core Duties:
- Develop and maintain timely training content for Sales Engineers and Management.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, including instructor-led, live online, and e-learning formats for both new and existing sales engineers.
- Collaborate with recruiting, human resources, and sales management to organize onboarding logistics, ensuring all necessary resources are prepared for each training session.
- Conduct commercial training on sales processes and professional sales etiquette.
- Perform ongoing assessments of trainees to verify that competency levels are achieved.
- Teach essential selling techniques and soft skills that complement technical product training.
- Monitor training assessment results and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Update training materials to reflect the latest Cognex product offerings.
- Utilize gamification and innovative methods to enhance the engagement of training sessions.
- Incorporate the Cognex culture of Work Hard, Play Hard, Move Fast into all training initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple training offerings across various roles.
- Experience in teaching and facilitating sales and soft skills, with a background in technical sales preferred.
- Ability to lead high-energy training sessions and create interactive learning experiences.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating System is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within Europe, estimated at 20% for local candidates.
- A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in sales is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of training and facilitation experience, ideally in a sales context.
- Exposure to industrial automation technologies (e.g., Robots, Machine Vision, PLCs, HMI) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Preferred experience in high-tech or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of e-learning tools is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
