Senior Logistics Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Logistics Manager to join our Amazon Logistics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our third-party logistics partners and ensuring the smooth delivery of packages to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Partner with our OTR Safety and OTR Regional Managers to ensure our logistics partners are operating safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Performance Optimization: Guide our logistics partners to scale their businesses and manage operational issues, ensuring they have the necessary resources to ramp up operations and prepare for peak periods.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to improve our logistics partners' performance and develop strategies to drive business growth.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our logistics partners, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to succeed.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve our logistics processes, ensuring we are operating efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in operations, last mile, or account/relationship management, small business logistics, or retail/vendor/supplier management.
  • Experience working with third-party resources on a regional/national scale.
  • Experience working with a contingent workforce in a business with peak seasons.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to dig into data to find solutions for operational problems.
  • Flexibility to work occasional non-standard working hours during peak periods.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and German.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading process improvements through Lean process, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience project planning in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking and writing.
  • Enjoys analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions.
  • Proven experience of helping teams achieve goals.
