Position Overview

We are seeking a driven Software Engineering Consultant to become a vital part of our Engineering team at Project A Ventures. In this role, you will provide expert advice to our portfolio companies on various technical matters and operational processes.

Your daily responsibilities will center around delivering specialized guidance on backend-oriented projects, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with portfolio companies to identify their technical challenges and deliver customized solutions.
  • Provide consultation on software engineering practices, ensuring the creation of efficient, scalable, and resilient systems.
  • Advise on software development methodologies, including architectural design, code assessments, testing strategies, and deployment plans.
  • Spot opportunities for process enhancements and assist teams in adopting best practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication across various levels, adjusting the detail as necessary.
  • Promote diversity and maintain an impartial approach, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor, fostering strong relationships with portfolio companies and colleagues.
  • Take charge of projects, proactively seeking solutions and delivering outstanding results.

Candidate Profile
  • Hands-on experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development; prior consulting or client-facing experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Adaptability to different organizational environments, understanding business goals, and aligning technology solutions accordingly.
  • A keen interest in learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, make informed decisions, and guide others in decision-making processes, along with strong presentation skills.
  • Professionalism and a dedication to delivering high-quality results.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Please note that we are looking for support in our Berlin office. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
