We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant to become a vital part of our team of experts.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant, you will report to the Head of Electrical Engineering and will be responsible for leading electrical and multidisciplinary teams. Your role will involve leveraging your existing network to identify and develop consultancy opportunities, as well as managing project consultancy assignments related to electrical design, grid connections, and general engineering for renewable energy projects.Your duties will include: Acting as the technical lead on projects to ensure optimal solutions are delivered to clients within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Representing AqualisBraemar LOC as a domain expert, sharing knowledge to enhance overall project execution. Generating leads through participation in conferences, seminars, and meetings to promote our services. Following up on leads to secure new business opportunities. Independently preparing proposals and tenders. Consulting on procurement tenders, technical studies, optimization studies, and cost-benefit analyses for renewable electrical systems. Ensuring projects remain within budget and on schedule. Participating in internal and external meetings as necessary. Guaranteeing compliance with approved instructions and policies in all deliverables. Managing multidisciplinary teams in the execution of assignments for innovative clients. Maintaining high standards of quality and technical excellence in all outputs. Mentoring and supporting team members. Identifying and communicating relevant technological advancements or regulatory changes that may impact the business or present new opportunities.
This role will be office-based, and the candidate should have the right to work in the specified location. Occasional onsite attendance may be required.
Candidate Profile:
We seek a motivated, insightful, and solution-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and efficiently, even under pressure, while also being a collaborative team player. Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential for success in this role.The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, with commendable academic performance. 10-12 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in renewable energy and high-voltage projects. Proficiency in technical documentation, including reports and specifications. Strong understanding of the energy sector, especially offshore wind and renewable projects. Competence in MS Office and engineering software. Independent thinker with problem-solving capabilities, able to lead complex projects. Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages being advantageous. Familiarity with commercial and contractual aspects of projects. Experience in business development and project management within the renewable sector. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach. Desirable Qualifications: Chartered membership in a relevant professional organization. Extensive experience in the lifecycle of renewable energy projects. Specialized knowledge in HVDC offshore substations. Familiarity with local grid codes and connection regulations. Experience in preparing technical specifications and contract negotiations. Knowledge of power systems studies and simulation software. Understanding of renewable energy infrastructure, including project finance. Proficiency in programming and analysis tools. Additional language skills are a plus.
