Strategic Product Manager for Enterprise Platforms

About the Role

Join Contentful, a premier Content Management System (CMS) that enables organizations to efficiently publish content across diverse channels. Our platform provides developers and content creators with essential tools to manage and deliver captivating digital experiences, from websites and mobile applications to smart devices and digital signage.

We are in search of a seasoned Principal Product Manager to become a key player in our Digital Team OS product line. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design of scalable platform components and infrastructure, empowering customers to enhance their content and experiences through AI.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for an AI platform that aids customers in transforming their content and experiences through scalable and extensible capabilities.
  • Establish and track critical product metrics and KPIs to assess product success.
  • Lead product discovery initiatives and actively engage with customers to gather insights into their needs. Cultivate a deep understanding of their content systems and foster collaborative design and innovation.
  • Guide the product development lifecycle by providing clear requirements and facilitating rapid iterations.
  • Work closely with engineers and AI infrastructure partners to conduct technical research and develop APIs, services, and complex systems at scale.
  • Coordinate with pricing, marketing, and legal teams to ensure compliance with security and legal standards while successfully launching products.
  • Keep stakeholders and senior leadership updated on product status, progress, and risks for high-visibility projects spanning multiple product lines.

Qualifications for Success

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in developing B2B products for enterprise clients.
  • A strong API and platform mindset, with experience in building platform capabilities and scalable solutions.
  • A solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, ideally with experience in implementing AI capabilities at scale using platform services.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for navigating high-uncertainty environments and exploring new territories.
  • Robust product management skills, including strategy development, prioritization, customer discovery, and a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and align on strategy and execution.
