Network Systems Specialist

GDIT is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support our customer in Wiesbaden, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and providing solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities and maintain system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinate hardware and software acquisition and create plans for data communication networks.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams, document configurations, and document procedures.
- Support the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and perform work critical to the organization.
- Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.
- May provide guidance and coaching to less-experienced professionals.
- Security Clearance: An active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
- Certification: A valid DoD 8570.2/8140 IAT II certification is mandatory; CCNA certified CCNP is preferred.
- Skills: Experience diagraming networks and supporting DoD Networks is essential.
- Education: A BA/BS (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of experience is required.
- German TESA eligibility is a must.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000, although salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Travel Required: Less than 10%
Telecommuting Options: Onsite
