Senior Procurement Sustainability Manager

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Sustainability Manager to drive our company's commitment to sustainable sourcing and ensure our supply chain aligns with global sustainability standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability into all facets of the procurement process, including product development, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Communicate the benefits of sustainable procurement to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) within the procurement function.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant reporting guidelines, certifications, and sustainability standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in technology, trends, and sustainable procurement best practices.
  • Lead projects aimed at enhancing our procurement operations' sustainability performance over time.
  • Provide training and guidance on sustainable practices to the procurement team and other relevant departments.
  • Foster a sustainable culture throughout the entire company.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainable sourcing plan that aligns with our organization's overarching sustainability objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to positively impact the environment and society through our supply chain.
  • Consider sustainability factors, such as labor practices, ethical standards, and environmental impact, when evaluating and selecting suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with our sustainability goals.
  • Establish and implement procurement policies that support environmentally responsible practices.
  • Ensure all purchase processes comply with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Identify and address sustainability-related issues within the supply chain.
  • Develop plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure supply chain resilience.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of sustainable procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective sustainability solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Working knowledge of sustainable reporting frameworks, such as CDP, GRI, or others.
  • Familiarity with relevant sustainability certifications, such as Fair Trade, FSC, and ISO.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational transformation.
