About the Role
As a key member of the Adidas team, you will lead the execution of our environmental sustainability program, ensuring successful delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets. This involves close collaboration across all functions, including Global Operations, Brand, Finance, HR, and Sales, to develop cross-functional direction and guidance on company-wide sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Adidas' sustainability program, ensuring successful delivery of KPIs and targets, including the board KPI on decarbonization.
- Develop and implement environmental-related ESG regulations affecting Adidas, in collaboration with respective functions.
- Establish and maintain clear sustainability vision and strategy for the company, focusing on key topics such as decarbonization, circularity, and biodiversity.
- Represent Adidas internally and externally as a spokesperson on environmental sustainability efforts, engaging with investors, media, and other stakeholders.
- Manage memberships to environmental alliances and industry partnerships.
- Develop measurable environmental targets and KPIs, driving and executing related initiatives, tracking, and reporting progress.
- Lead the implementation of solutions to enable environmental data management and reporting at scale, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Lead internal engagement to ensure the organization is informed and upskilled about sustainability direction and KPIs.
- Manage and build an international high-performance team, providing performance objectives, feedback, addressing development needs, implementing training plans, and structuring the team for optimal impact.
Requirements
- Profound technical expertise in sustainability management and a track record of delivering sustainability programs.
- In-depth understanding of sustainability challenges in the industry.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Pragmatic approach to leading programs/projects and a proven track record of leading large-scale initiatives.
- Well-established network with external organizations, innovation hubs, and solution providers.

Qualifications
- Four-year university degree, preferably in environmental science, CSR, engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 12 years' work experience in sustainability, ideally with a focus on decarbonization, innovation, circularity, and biodiversity.
- Minimum 6 years proven leadership of diverse & global teams and projects in a matrix organization.
