Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at the KION Group. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our business units across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to our business units on commercial, contractual, and intellectual property matters.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Manage and optimize the use of Dematic's intellectual property, including patents and trademarks.
  • Advise on licensing and patents, and liaise with outside counsel as needed.
  • Protect intellectual property from third parties through confidentiality agreements and other measures.
  • Conciliate, arbitrate, and litigate as necessary to protect the company's interests.
  • Support special projects, such as government relations, real estate transactions, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external legal experts and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Law degree (Master level) with 3-5 years' experience as a legal counsel in an international corporate legal department or as an attorney in an international law firm.
  • Experience in Europe, with a focus on corporate, commercial, transactional, and competition law.
  • Excellent language skills, including fluent English and German.
  • Good command of French and Dutch is a plus.
  • Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
