Research Opportunity in Plant Cell Biology at Technical University of Munich
An exciting opportunity is available for a Ph.D. candidate or Postdoctoral researcher within the Plant Systems Biology Department at the School of Life Sciences, Technical University of Munich. The research group led by Dr. Philipp Denninger is dedicated to exploring the evolutionary dynamics of plant cell biology, with a specific emphasis on RhoGTPase signaling pathways across diverse plant taxa.
Research Responsibilities:
- Investigate the evolutionary trajectory of RhoGTPase signaling in Streptophyte algae, Liverworts, and Mosses.
- Examine the evolutionary development of plant RhoGTPase activators during terrestrial adaptation.
- Employ bioinformatics, biochemistry, and cellular biology techniques, with a strong focus on live cell imaging methodologies.
Candidate Profile:
- A strong enthusiasm for plant evolutionary studies and cellular biology.
- A background in bioinformatics, biochemistry, or advanced microscopy techniques.
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) is required for the Ph.D. position, while a Ph.D. is necessary for the Postdoctoral role.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills are essential.
