We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Principal Engineer in Control Systems, particularly focusing on AC-DC Multilevel Converters and DC-DC Converters. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive background in the design and enhancement of control methodologies for power electronic converters, along with their application in specialized hardware control platforms utilized in various medium and high voltage sectors, including renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and smart grids. As a Principal Engineer, you will architect sophisticated control frameworks for modular multilevel and DC-DC converters and validate these strategies through modeling and simulation techniques. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive integration of control systems into the overall product architecture. Staying informed on the latest trends in power electronics will be essential, as you will evolve into a trusted in-house authority in Control Systems. Your Impact on the Team Spearhead the development of innovative control frameworks and algorithms for AC-DC multilevel converters and DC-DC converters, enhancing performance, efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Create state-of-the-art software and hardware control platforms for novel applications in power systems. Execute thorough modeling and simulation tasks to validate control strategies across varying operational conditions. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external specialists from academic institutions or research organizations to seamlessly integrate control systems into product designs. Remain updated on emerging trends in power electronics technology; propose forward-thinking solutions that can provide our products with a competitive advantage. Offer expert guidance on technical challenges associated with medium and high voltage power conversion systems. Publish research outcomes in leading journals and conferences; represent the organization at industry gatherings. Qualifications and Skills PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with a focus on Power Electronics/Control Systems. At least 5 years of professional experience in the design and implementation of control systems for multilevel converter technologies. Proven success in projects involving high-power electronics applications. In-depth knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques applied to power electronic converter controls. Proficient in simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) for system analysis and design validation. Exceptional analytical abilities coupled with a creative approach to problem-solving.
