Amazon Loss Prevention Specialist Overview

In this vital position, you will provide security solutions across our operational framework, safeguarding our workforce and minimizing losses.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Enhance business continuity by participating in emergency preparedness and crisis management initiatives for your designated sites.
  • Assess risks (such as theft, employee safety, and process enhancements) and implement effective solutions while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Serve as a liaison and coordinate risk management strategies with local leadership and external stakeholders regarding all security-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon's global security protocols at the sites under your supervision.
Daily Responsibilities:

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will collaborate with a team of security professionals to deliver comprehensive security services to various business sectors within a defined geographical area. Your role will involve conducting thorough security assessments and investigating policy breaches, security incidents, and loss occurrences. Your findings will be instrumental in identifying vulnerabilities in our procedures, for which you will assist in formulating corrective actions. You will play a crucial role in upholding the physical security of our locations by monitoring system performance and collaborating with specialists and external partners to ensure optimal functionality. Daily interactions with external security service providers will be essential to guarantee high-quality security services and a smooth operational experience. Furthermore, you will act as a point of contact for multiple internal and external teams, becoming a knowledgeable resource on security and loss prevention topics.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Relevant education or experience in security or risk management (e.g., security services, asset protection).
  • Proficiency in the MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context.
  • Fluency in German, both written and spoken.
  • Intermediate English language skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree, certification, or industry-recognized credential.
  • Experience with physical security systems, investigative methodologies, and/or managing contract security personnel.
  • Background in retail, warehousing, distribution, delivery services, or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
