Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Artist to join our development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing visual features for game elements such as maps and tanks, while ensuring optimal performance throughout the gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with art, design, and development teams to effectively translate artistic concepts into technical solutions.
  • Provide expert technical support to artists, helping them navigate challenges and realize their creative goals.
  • Develop and maintain tools for Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) utilizing both Blueprint and C++ to enhance art production efficiency.
  • Implement and refine rendering features within UE5, including foliage interactions and hit effects.
  • Manage the technical budget for all assets, ensuring gameplay validity and performance optimization.
  • Analyze and optimize memory usage and performance for in-game environments and content.
  • Document technical processes and guidelines.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical Art or Rendering.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 or similar game engines.
  • Familiarity with Blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of C++ or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Solid grasp of vector algebra.
  • Deep understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) and real-time graphics principles.
  • Experience with graphic profiling tools such as RenderDoc, IntelGPA, NvidiaPerfHUD, or Pix.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like TortoiseSVN or Git.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive approach to bridging art and engineering disciplines in an English-speaking environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in addressing technical challenges in a dynamic development setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HLSL or other shader languages.
  • Understanding of classical algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Experience in mobile game development.
  • A passion for video games.
