Business Controller (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth financial variance analysis to comprehend results, pinpoint profitability drivers, and provide management with actionable insights.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up processes within your area of responsibility.
  • Act as the primary business partner for the Debt Purchase product line, overseeing operations across multiple regions.
  • Deliver transparency and strategic guidance to management, facilitating informed decision-making regarding our products and markets.
  • Engage proactively with various stakeholders to discuss trends, assess their implications, and recommend solutions or optimizations.
  • Utilize analytical tools to interpret data and address challenges, aiming to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with all relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Decision Support team to provide analysis and recommendations on pricing and business opportunities.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or MBA in Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in Business Controlling, Portfolio Management, or the Debt Purchase sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to identify challenges, structure necessary analyses, manage multiple priorities, and work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with BI tools is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required; German language skills are a plus.
