### Role Overview
As an Open Innovation Manager, I engage with external innovation sources, including industrial partners, to foster idea generation and prototype validation, ultimately driving new solutions through collaborative efforts and enhancing our innovative capabilities.
Why this role is significant: At 50Hertz, part of the Elia Group, I play a crucial role in shaping the energy transition. Within the innovation team, I contribute significantly to identifying and integrating emerging technologies and innovation themes for the organization. I also leverage external innovation networks to broaden the Elia Group's innovation potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee the Elia Group's innovation network, including the identification, assessment, and integration of appropriate partner organizations in alignment with the Elia Group's innovation strategy and project managers. Serve as a liaison between external ecosystems and internal stakeholders to enhance and expedite innovation initiatives and knowledge development within core business areas. Effectively implement and embed open innovation processes and tools (e.g., Trend Radar) within the innovation department and across core business units. Establish KPI monitoring to assess the ongoing performance and value creation of both established and new partnerships. Communicate updates from the network, share best practices, and represent the Elia Group/50Hertz in relevant committees and consortia. Optimize processes and integrate network management into the broader innovation project portfolio management.Candidate Profile:
Degree in (business) engineering, economics, or a related field with a focus on innovation and/or entrepreneurship. A minimum of five years of experience in innovation management. Proven experience in establishing open innovation networks. Strong project management skills with a history of successful innovation projects. Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with utility companies or network operators.Work Flexibility:
