Job Title: Sales Director

As a Sales Director at Wesco International, Inc., you will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies, managing sales performance, and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales plans to achieve customer satisfaction, quota attainment, and staff motivation.
  • Lead the sales team to achieve annual sales and gross profit targets by implementing sales strategies and analyzing trends and results.
  • Establish sales objectives and forecasts expected sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers.
  • Drive EBIT performance of the region and communicate the overall EMEA-wide strategy.
  • Articulate, sell, and coach services and Total Cost of Ownership concepts to customers.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with market supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Coordinate order service by directing account representatives on quotations, proposals, project order management techniques, and customer complaint resolution.
  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintain sales staff results by counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree - Sales, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
  • Related industry professional sales/7+ years.
  • Experience leading and managing staff and programs at national, district or regional level/5+ years.
  • Working knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve forecasted goals.
  • Experience in building a business from the bottom up.
  • Experience in operating in a matrix management environment.
  • Understands competitive landscape, market insights and effectively communicates across key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven success in providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility.
  • Excellent time management and computer skills.
  • 10 years related industry professional sales.
  • 7 years managing staff and programs at national, district or regional level.
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50%.
