Your Future Role
We are seeking a working student (15-20 hours per week) to support the Banking & Regulation (B&R) team within the Controlling & Risk Management department at RWE AG. The B&R team is tasked with the regulatory reporting obligations of the RWE Group to both national and international supervisory bodies. This role involves close collaboration with the Group's trading division, RWE Supply and Trading GmbH (RWEST), which is our primary client due to its extensive global trading operations.
- Assist the team with daily tasks related to regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EMIR, CFTC, REMIT, etc.)
- Review incoming invoices and initiate the payment process
- Manage the daily processing of existing reporting frameworks for obligations to national (BNetzA, statistical agencies) and international regulatory entities for both physical and derivative transactions
- Engage with internal stakeholders and counterparties
- Document processes and procedures effectively
Your Essential Skills
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Enthusiastic about gaining insights into energy (commodity) trading and its regulatory landscape
- Proficient in various applications, particularly MS Office (especially Excel & Power BI)
- Able to work in an international environment with strong command of both German and English
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following attributes are advantageous:
- Knowledge of the energy sector
- Experience in data analysis
