Regulatory Reporting Specialist

RWE AG is seeking a motivated Working Student to join our Banking & Regulation (B&R) team within the Controlling & Risk Management department.
The B&R team plays a crucial role in ensuring RWE Group's compliance with national and international regulatory reporting requirements for supervisory authorities. We collaborate closely with RWE Supply and Trading GmbH (RWEST), our largest customer, which boasts a global trading portfolio.
- Your Responsibilities:
- Provide essential support to the team in fulfilling daily regulatory (transaction) reporting obligations (e.g., EMIR, CFTC, REMIT).
- Review incoming invoices and initiate the settlement process.
- Process existing reporting structures for national (BNetzA, statistical agencies) and international regulatory authorities, covering both physical and derivative business activities.
- Interact effectively with internal stakeholders and counterparties.
- Document processes and procedures to ensure clarity and efficiency.
Your Qualifications:
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in learning about energy (commodity) trading and its regulatory framework.
- Possess strong proficiency in various applications, particularly MS Office Suite (Excel & Power BI).
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior knowledge of the energy sector.
- Experience in data analysis.
