Role Overview

RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join its Banking & Regulation team in the Controlling & Risk Management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's regulatory reporting requirements are met, working closely with the Group's trading unit, RWE Supply and Trading GmbH (RWEST).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regulatory reporting processes and structures to ensure compliance with national and international supervisory authorities.
  • Collaborate with the B&R team to improve reporting processes and structures, and participate in projects to enhance the company's regulatory reporting capabilities.
  • Act as the team's internal interface with Embedded IT and REMIT customers, and serve as the product owner for the in-house developed REMIT RRM system - CRS.
  • Review and implement new EU / US energy regulations regarding transaction reporting, and maintain and develop reporting structures for reporting obligations to national and international regulatory authorities.
  • Regularly report transactions to RWEST, BNetzA, and regulators in various countries, and communicate with front office, back office, legal, IT, and representatives of national and international authorities and ministries.
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Business Informatics / Administration or similar work experience as an IT Business Analyst in the energy and/or banking sector.
  • Have a good understanding of IT structures and be able to analyse business processes and translate them into IT requirements.
  • Enjoy working with data analysis tools and have programming experience.
  • Have a good command of German and English, with a minimum level B2 in both languages.
  • Be a proactive, independent, structured, and goal-oriented individual with good communication skills.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of financial or physical market regulations.
  • Energy specific knowledge, particularly in relation to energy regulation, products, and trading.
  • Experience with ETRM systems, such as Openlink Endur.
