About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at 360 FIL Fondsbank Germany. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and security of our bank by identifying, assessing, and managing risks.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the bank's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), including analyzing and assessing capital adequacy in relation to the bank's risk profiles and operations.
- Conducting risk-bearing capacity analysis and reporting, preparing reports on the results, and recommending measures to ensure risk-bearing capacity in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Developing and implementing risk management strategies and stress testing, responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk management strategies, stress testing, and procedures within the framework of the bank's risk-bearing capacity.
- Identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and strategic risks, to ensure that the bank achieves its risk-bearing capacity objectives.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, working closely with other departments of the bank, as well as with regulators and external auditors, to ensure that all relevant parties are aware of the bank's risk-bearing capacity.
- Ensuring that all risk management activities comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, in particular with regard to Basel III and other relevant regulations.
- Overseeing or performing risk assessments using models, including credit risk models, market risk models, operational risk models, and liquidity risk models.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Specialist who possesses a solid understanding of risk management principles and methodologies, coupled with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. The ideal candidate will have:
- A university degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in risk management, ideally in a bank or financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the area of risk management, especially with regard to Basel III and the requirements of the ICAAP.
- Experience with non-financial risk severe scenario assessment processes and leading associated workshops is preferred.
- Knowledge of quantitative methods, including stress testing, Monte Carlo simulations, and time series analysis, paired with a pragmatic and commercial mindset.
- Strong communication skills, ability to present complex issues, models, and their results in a clear and understandable way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English.
