Tri-axial micro-electromechanical (MEMS) gyroscopes are integral components in numerous automotive and consumer applications such as electronic stability programs, inertial navigation systems, and augmented reality devices. This PhD project focuses on the systematic investigation and characterization of previously unknown behaviors of performance metrics such as offset, sensitivity, and noise through analytical modeling and simulation. Enhancing these metrics is crucial for the advancement of the next generation of gyroscopes. You will have access to system simulation models and environments for your research. Once certain sensor phenomena are comprehended, internal compensation mechanisms will be examined in a subsequent phase. Our team of experts will provide you with robust support, and we anticipate your contributions to be presented at prestigious IEEE conferences and journals. The position as a scientific researcher at Bosch is available for a duration of three years.

  • Education: A master’s degree with outstanding grades in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Cybernetics, or Mechatronics is required.
