Job Title: PhD Researcher in MEMS Gyroscope Performance Improvement
Job Description:
Tri-axial micro-electromechanical (MEMS) gyroscopes are crucial components in various automotive and consumer applications. The PhD project involves a systematic examination of performance parameters like offset, sensitivity, and noise in analytic modeling and simulation. Improving these parameters is essential for the next gyroscope generation. Available system simulation models and environments will support your research. Once some sensor phenomena are understood, sensor-internal compensation mechanisms will be explored. We will provide expert support and expect you to publish papers in high-ranking IEEE conferences and journals. The employment as a scientific researcher at Bosch is offered for a duration of 3 years.
Requirements:
- Education: A master's degree with excellent grades in a suitable field such as Electrical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Cybernetics, or Mechatronics.
- Personality and Working Practice: You are excited about improving sensor performance and bringing new capabilities to the sensor. You discuss, break down, and solve complex issues with a high degree of ownership. Your working style is highly structured and analytical, along with thorough documentation of concepts and results. You have intrinsic curiosity and a willingness to learn continuously.
- Experience and Knowledge: Excellent knowledge in signal processing, control, and system theory are important, and experience with Matlab/Simulink is required.
- Languages: Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
