Cargo Sales Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed individual to become a vital part of our American Airlines family within the Frankfurt Cargo Sales division. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service and sales assistance to our Cargo clientele, Cargo Account Executives, and Cargo Sales Managers. If you have a strong interest in the airfreight sector and excel at fostering customer relationships, this position is an excellent fit for you.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to maximize flight capacity utilization
  • Serve as the main point of contact for freight forwarders and the general public
  • Evaluate cargo booking inquiries for revenue opportunities and address customer questions and concerns
  • Oversee and coordinate American Airlines Cargo offerings
  • Facilitate communication between departments and manage interline operations
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers regarding lost or delayed cargo
  • Support management with special projects as needed
  • Coordinate domestic and international trucking operations
Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of the airfreight industry with a strong emphasis on customer service
  • Excellent communication abilities in both English and German
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proactive, adaptable, and self-driven

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in freight forwarding or airline cargo operations
  • Familiarity with the iCargo system
