Cargo Sales Representative Job Description


Job Summary:


  1. To establish and maintain strong relationships with cargo agents, customers, and industry partners to identify new business opportunities and promote Turkish Airlines' cargo services.
  2. To analyze and assess the potential cargo market in the region, and provide regular reports to the Regional Cargo Manager as required.
  3. To collaborate with cargo agents and other airlines to secure cargo for Turkish Airlines' flights, and to implement sales and marketing strategies in line with the company's marketing program.
  4. To stay up-to-date with international cargo regulations and procedures, and to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  5. To contribute to the achievement of all cargo sales and service targets in the region, by working in accordance with Turkish Airlines' policies and procedures.
  6. To manage and maintain accurate records of cargo transactions, and to ensure the safekeeping and distribution of official papers (AWB) in accordance with company regulations.


Requirements:


  • Minimum High School graduation (Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred)
  • Permanent residence permit in the respective country (Turkish Airlines will not provide or assist with work permits)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in cargo or logistics
  • Good command of English and local language(s)
  • Knowledge of cargo operations through understanding of airline cargo sales including pricing strategies
  • Competency with MS Office products
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
