The Opportunity

This position is part of Abbott Diabetes Care, where we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with diabetes through innovative products that deliver precise data for informed health decisions. Our focus is on transforming glucose monitoring with advanced sensing technology.

The Commercial Project Coordinator for the EMEAP region is tasked with overseeing and managing significant strategic commercial initiatives and projects, including product launches and process improvements.

Background :
  • This role is essential and reports to the Commercial Project Manager for EMEAP. It requires strong project management capabilities within a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders.
  • The primary focus will be on FreeStyle Libre, a pioneering technology in Flash Glucose Monitoring within the diabetes healthcare sector. This product is accessible to patients through various distribution channels, including pharmacies.
  • The position demands the ability to drive implementation, enhance processes, and ensure effectiveness using project management methodologies. The role involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, IT, and Finance, to achieve balanced solutions and secure necessary approvals.
  • Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, with a history of successfully managing cross-functional commercial projects. Certifications in project management (PMP, Prince2, Agile) and process improvement (such as LSS BB) are highly regarded. Experience in marketing, e-commerce, customer service, and supply chain is advantageous.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple large-scale implementation projects, focusing on both hardware and software, as well as process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across various locations from concept through delivery and launch, ensuring quality execution.
  • Develop and monitor project plans to align with business needs, collaborating closely with various departments to establish objectives and manage budgets.
  • Success in this role is measured by key performance indicators, sales, and margin goals, requiring effective resolution of resource allocation and priority conflicts.
  • Act as the owner of change management and stakeholder management plans for assigned projects, coordinating with stakeholders and preparing rollout plans.
  • Contribute to the development of PMO excellence at the EMEA level by promoting tools, templates, and training for colleagues.
Your Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Formal project management certification (PMP/Prince2, PMI-ACP/PSM or LSS Black Belt) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the MedTech, Pharma, or Healthcare industry, with a focus on managing complex projects.
  • Proven commercial acumen demonstrated through diverse functional experience in e-commerce, IT solutions, finance, and customer service.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency with project management tools and software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities, with a capacity to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans and lead by influence in a matrix organization.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude, capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
