Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. As a Master Thesis student, you will work on the development of an optimization algorithm that incorporates diverse sensor information to generate ground truth localisation information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an optimization algorithm for sensor fusion
  • Evaluate existing approaches and derive a novel concept for calculating precise ground truth data
  • Implement the algorithm using ROS in C++/Python and test it on our outdoor robot platform CURTmini

Requirements:

  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
  • Profound knowledge of C++/Python and ROS
  • Experience with data fusion methods and mobile robotics
  • Fluent in English or German
