Job Opportunity in Outdoor Mobile Robotics

This research project aims to investigate the potential of fusing RADAR and LiDAR data to enhance localization capabilities in challenging outdoor environments. The successful candidate will design and implement a post-processing pipeline to generate a fused point cloud and develop a strategy to utilize this information in a generalized point cloud odometry algorithm.

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Profound knowledge of C++ programming
  • Experience with ROS and mobile robotics
  • Enthusiasm for research and development in outdoor mobile robotics
  • Fluency in English or German
