Job Summary

ID International is seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Operator to support the "Total Maintenance Contract for the Kaiserslautern Military Community." The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of the power plant facility, performing high-voltage electrical work, and maintaining electrical power generation and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and effective operation of the power plant facility.
  • Perform high-voltage electrical work, including installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical power generation and distribution systems.
  • Analyze equipment data and trends to formulate changes to the maintenance program procedures as needed.
  • Work to eliminate unscheduled outages and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Host Nation certified High Pressure Boiler Plant Operator (Hochdruckheisser).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical codes, utility standards, and safety programs as governed by rules, regulations, and guidelines of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and the NEC.
  • Experience in power plant operations, power generation, distribution, transmission, and substation maintenance.
  • NICET III certification in electrical power testing or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in power plant operations, power generation, distribution, transmission, and substation maintenance.

Language Requirements

  • English and German at level 4 proficiency: At this level an employee is required to possess a high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English, including the ability to translate the host country language into precise and correct English, and English into the applicable foreign language.

Computer Skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
