Group Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will be responsible for preparing the consolidated financial statement and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the consolidated financial statement and quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Contribute to the preparation of the Group forecast and planning
- Independently process subsections of the notes to the consolidated financial statement
- Assist with processing and presentation of the implications of changes in international accounting practice
- Analyse matters in the financial statement and handle issues requiring consolidation
- Quality assure the individual accounts included in the consolidated financial statement
- Participate in and lead projects, as well as hold presentations and workshops
- Completed university degree with concentrations in auditing, taxation, insurance, business mathematics, or finance
- At least 5 years of professional experience in group accounting (ideally with an insurer or financial institution)
- Very good knowledge of international accounting in accordance with IFRS
- Knowledge of the requirements of Solvency II
- Independent user skills in German and English
- Structured working approach and analytical skills
