Project Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead and coordinate our construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving front-end planning, reviewing construction time schedules, and supporting the construction site in applying Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the construction team with respect to AWP related questions and develop solutions to project specific challenges
  • Drive the front-end planning of the projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution
  • Review construction time schedules and support the construction site in applying AWP principles
  • Establish and expedite the creation of construction concepts and align them with stakeholders
  • Risk management and the implementation of mitigations
  • Qualify and train contractors with respect to AWP
  • Set up the infrastructure and procedures for executing workface planning on construction sites
  • Coordinate project activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with contractors and project teams to ensure successful execution of AWP on the projects
  • Oversee health, safety, and environment engineering, as well as implementation
  • Generate and further develop operational competence and know-how in the form of work instructions/standard documents
  • Safeguard adherence to respective laws and regulations, internal instructions, guidelines specific within the industry sector, applicable for the project, as well as company's 'Code of Conduct' and 'Code of Ethics'
  • Contribute to the final construction project report and lessons learned
Requirements
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or adequate qualification
  • Five years or more experience in construction engineering, execution, and site management
  • Affinity towards planning and structuring the execution of construction projects
  • Experience on construction sites of the oil and gas industry or a comparable experience
  • Ideal experience in implementing concepts of lean construction or Advanced Work Packaging into a construction project
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good QHSE skills
  • Excellent English, leadership competence, and intercultural competence
  • Knowledge of all Standard MS Office tools
  • Flexibility with a willingness to travel worldwide
