JOB TITLE: Automation Platform Architect

COMPANY: Fresenius Medical Care North America

OBJECTIVE:

The role involves establishing and enhancing a comprehensive global automation framework, integrating RPA and AI functionalities, along with supporting components of the platform. The position ensures that all development teams and operational units are equipped and trained to leverage the platform in accordance with best practices and international standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee, design, and sustain the overall architecture of the Automation platform, primarily utilizing UiPath.
  • Assess, analyze, and implement emerging technological advancements and platform capabilities within the realm of Intelligent Process Automation.
  • Work in conjunction with global development teams to pinpoint requirements for the further evolution of the platform and the IPA ecosystem.
  • Manage licensing considerations and negotiations with software vendors, alongside internal license oversight and distribution.
  • Administer access management for the global IPA platform.
  • Establish global standards for development and automation design concerning process automations using the RPA platform.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor for both global and local automation delivery teams, addressing technical challenges, best practices, and operational inquiries.
  • Facilitate and lead discussions with both internal and external suppliers.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional travel, estimated at 10%.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory; an Advanced Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in RPA/IPA initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge and certifications in UiPath architecture and platform.
  • Strong understanding of RPA and UiPath development best practices.
  • Solid technical comprehension, including IT infrastructure, data security, and project management tools.
  • Basic familiarity with SAP.
  • Understanding of process automation and digitization concepts (RPA).
  • Experience in process optimization and redesign (Six Sigma).
  • Project management experience (Agile preferred).
  • Genuine interest in innovative automation technologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and conflict resolution capabilities.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
