Product Lead in Molecular Diagnostics

BIOTYPE GmbH specializes in the development, production, and distribution of molecular diagnostic kits and systems designed for the detection and quantification of RNA and DNA markers. Our assays play a crucial role in supporting diagnosis and therapy in oncology and hematology, as well as in forensic DNA analysis. In addition to commercial kits, we offer customized development and manufacturing of assays for molecular diagnostics, which can be tailored for our proprietary MODAPLEX platform or various established market platforms. Our company undertakes projects at every stage of product development, from prototypes to RUO and CE-IVD products. Our mission is to provide laboratories, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic companies with reliable and robust molecular genetic testing systems.

- Act as the primary product manager (product lead) for assays on BIOTYPE's proprietary MODAPLEX platform (a benchtop system for molecular profiling and genetic alteration analysis) and other PCR technologies.
- Develop and implement market entry and product sales strategies in collaboration with global sales teams.
- Lead and coordinate key projects, representing the company and product lines at conferences, webinars, and other events.
- Oversee product development processes from concept to market launch.
- Establish business plans and prepare business case reports.
- Create and distribute product-related marketing materials.
- Demonstrated experience in product management within molecular diagnostics, preferably in oncology and/or companion diagnostics.
- A goal-oriented mindset, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in an agile organization and cross-functional teams.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and efficient work ethic combined with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A degree in life sciences, biotechnology, medicine, or bioengineering (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biomedical studies, or related fields) with a diploma, M.Sc., or PhD.
- Preferably some experience in developing PCR-based assays and a strong affinity for software.
- Experience working in a regulated environment under ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes.
