Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager for Product Variant and Configuration Management (f/m/d) to join our Configuration & Change Management (C&CM) department at the Ulm location. This division is dedicated to ensuring that configuration management processes are effectively implemented throughout projects and products, aligning with contractual obligations while achieving project goals within the designated performance, timeline, and budget constraints. Our team members are integrated into project core teams across the entire product and project lifecycle, collaborating closely with project and product managers from the outset of the planning phase.Key Responsibilities
Define and specify configuration management interfaces (both internal and external) Develop configuration management plans in both German and English Create product structures by identifying configuration units and mapping them in configuration management tools Ensure adherence to the configuration management process Facilitate the implementation of release boards (RBs) Establish baselines and construction status specifications Manage internal and external change management processes (change control boards) Generate evaluations and status presentations Collaborate within international project teams, both internally and externally Coordinate with subcontractors and customersCandidate Profile
Degree in industrial engineering or a related field Proven experience in project management and configuration management, with knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 10007, EIA-649) Familiarity with software configuration management and production processes is a plus Knowledge of SAP PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and Serena Business Manager/Dimensions is advantageous Strong interpersonal skills to implement and communicate configuration management specifications Proficient in delivering presentations to international clients and partners Team-oriented with the ability to negotiate effectively with customers and contractors (both internal and external) Fluent in German and possess good English language skillsWhat We Offer
