Overview

La Française Systematic Asset Management GmbH is seeking a Legal Manager (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team in Frankfurt am Main. This role involves close collaboration with the Compliance Officer, focusing on legal matters related to fund management and KVG operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal guidance and support for various fund projects, including the launch of new funds and share classes, mergers, and liquidations, in partnership with the Compliance Manager.
  • Draft and revise all necessary legal documentation associated with fund initiatives and projects, such as sales prospectuses, PRIIP KIDs, and investor communications.
  • Address ESG-related considerations and ensure their integration into fund documentation and other relevant publications.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts related to funds and corporate matters.
  • Update and maintain data in the transparency register.
  • Coordinate KYC requests and assist relevant departments as needed.
  • Engage in various ad hoc projects, both locally and internationally.
  • Foster collaboration and communication with colleagues from the broader La Française Group.
  • Support the Compliance Officer and Manager in their duties.

Required Qualifications

  • A university degree in law or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a KVG, asset management firm, or legal practice.
  • Proficiency in English and German (both spoken and written); knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with German asset management and capital markets law, along with a foundational understanding of corporate law.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address legal issues, with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects.
  • A proactive approach, with a strong sense of responsibility and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Passion for the industry and a commitment to achieving results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an open-minded and curious attitude.
  • Strong time management and self-organization capabilities.
