Marketing & Business Development Manager - Strategy, BD & Campaigns (Commercial, Competition and Trade)

We are a leading global law practice with over 70 offices across more than 30 countries worldwide. Our German commercial and tax practices are central to our growth strategy, particularly in areas such as data and cyber security, intellectual property, corporate tax and tax disputes.
Our lawyers work with many household names helping them to navigate increasingly dynamic regulations, and regulators as well as working on large, multi-jurisdictional projects.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced marketing and business development professional to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head of Practice Group Marketing and other marketing colleagues to support the growth of our commercial and tax practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the German business and legal market and be able to interpret legal and client-specific issues to devise effective and winning approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to support the growth of our commercial and tax practices
- Work closely with our lawyers and other stakeholders to develop and deliver campaigns and business development initiatives
- Develop best-in-class sales collateral and legal updates
- Manage the development of client-specific pitch materials
- Event management, including events with a global focus
- Provide business intelligence on key competitors and marketplace trends, identifying ways of gaining a competitive advantage in the market
- Ability to turn client-facing practice group messaging into sector-specific marketing for our clients
- Supporting key partners and stakeholders in client targeting and business development initiatives
Requirements
- Experience within a business development and marketing role, ideally from a professional services firm with international offices
- Experience in delivering or supporting the delivery of marketing plans, campaigns, and initiatives
- Ability to prioritize the right activities that deliver value to our business
- Previous experience will demonstrate an ability to support campaign-based activity and an ability to use influencing skills to gain credibility across all levels within the firm
- Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
