Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer

DO Recruitment Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our client, a prestigious private bank in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Regulatory Compliance and be responsible for overseeing the legal and regulatory landscapes, identifying and assessing relevant changes, and contributing to the regulatory watch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the legal and regulatory landscapes, including identifying and assessing relevant changes.
- Contribute to the regulatory watch and provide oversight and maintenance of the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
- Supervise Regulatory Compliance topics, especially in the areas of Cross-border rules, Market Abuse, and MiFID II.
- Draft and amend policies and procedures.
- Perform 2nd line of defence controls of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and issue relevant reports.
- Ensure the Compliance Monitoring framework is appropriately implemented across the Bank and its branches.
- Assist the Bank on all regulatory queries and assist on reporting to local senior management and the Group on regulatory compliance matters.
- Organise internal training sessions for new joiners on regulatory purposes and systems.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Law, Economics, or Business administration.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment and EU regulations.
- At least 5/7 years' experience in a similar Compliance/regulatory role, either in the banking sector or in a reputable Audit firm.
- Proven experience in project management and regulatory changes.
- Ability to apply risk-based approach assessments, in line with local standard market practice.
- Fluent in English and French, any other language would be an asset.
- Strong team player with ability to work independently.
- Flexible and used to working with tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
