Network Systems Administrator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network and System Administrator to join our team at Planet Intelligent Systems GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, administration, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, and virtualized systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as virtualized systems.
- Provide technical support and analysis for network-related issues, including remote access and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide solutions.
- Participate in rollout and migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of support cases.
- Collaborate with the in-house development department to ensure smooth communication and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and participate in incident management.
Requirements:
- Completed university education or comparable qualification in a relevant field.
- Several years of professional experience in IT, preferably in a dynamic and growing environment.
- Experience in personnel management and business-critical IT project management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business process analysis and optimization in IT.
- Innovative, dynamic, and proactive thinking and acting.
- Pragmatic work approach and 'Getting Things Done' mentality.
- Excellent knowledge of current systems, applications, and technologies.
- Technical expertise in network administration, network technology, ERP, virtualization, LAN, and WAN concepts.
- Excellent communication and assertiveness skills, as well as flexibility and high sense of responsibility.
- Excellent knowledge of German and good knowledge of English.
