We are seeking a highly skilled Master Data Solutions Consultant to join our team at BASF Digital Solutions GmbH. As a key member of our global digital services team, you will play a crucial role in enabling the digitalization of Master Data Management across the organization.

About the Role

As a Solution Consultant for substance master data, you will be responsible for defining and setting up effective and efficient processes for substance master data maintenance. You will work closely with the Process Owner and the DevOps team to implement new solutions and play a key role in major projects where substance master data is affected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult on the usage of EHS and understand differences of SAP R3/S4 and current applications.
  • Support the creation and updates of Rules & Guidelines documents that define the allowed usage of materials in the BASF group.
  • Provide consultation on KPIs as per BASF's own methodology as part of data quality activities.
  • Offer consultancy to Operational Divisions, Service Units, and Project Management on new requirements regarding global substance master.

Requirements

  • Degree in chemistry, business informatics, administration, or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with EHS/substance master data and related supply chain processes (order management, transport management, manufacturing).
  • Proficiency in at least one SAP solution handling substance master data.
  • Good skills in standard SAP customizing possibilities of substance master, familiarity with non-SAP solutions handling substance master data is a plus.
  • Experience in project management and agile working (e.g., methodology SCRUM, KANBAN).
  • Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities.
  • Very good English skills, German language skills are a plus.
