Production Director

Job Summary:
Sappi is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our team in the production of innovative sustainable packaging solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, and driving quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to achieve production targets and reduce downtime.
- Implement and monitor operational strategies to meet production requirements and ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize production workflows.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance operator skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Several years of proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in the converting, packaging, or paper industry.
- Strong hands-on mentality with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Technical understanding of machinery and production processes as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in German is required; very good level in English.
