Job Summary

VISA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect to lead the development of innovative solutions for our clients and partners. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical architectures that meet the needs of our business and exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of VISA's products and services, as well as the card payment industry as a whole.
  • Lead the development of innovation architectures that meet the needs of our clients and partners, while ensuring compliance with data privacy, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with our European and Global design teams to ensure that our innovation architectures are aligned with our design principles and deliver a best-in-class user experience.
  • Identify gaps in product capabilities and features, and work with our partners and internal teams to address them.
  • Present our innovation architectures to stakeholders, including clients and partners, and respond to questions on the technical dimension of our solutions.
  • Work with our cross-functional team to take solutions from definition to commercialization.
  • Lead the technical aspect of client conversations and update our innovation architectures based on feedback from clients and partners.
  • Filing invention disclosures when there appears to be novelty in our technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with product developments in VISA and industry working groups, such as Open Banking and FIDO, to ensure that our innovation architectures are aligned.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of the card payment industry and VISA products.
  • Mid to senior-level experience of innovation architecture in the card payment industry.
  • Extensive experience of being a member of teams that operate using agile working methodologies and principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with experience of procurement processes and contract management.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to code to APIs and prove out the early stage technical feasibility of an architecture.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate about emerging technologies and trends, with extensive experience in working with developers and technical teams.
  • Self-starter who is able to work well in a fast-paced, fun, and creative team environment, but is also able to work independently.
  • Passion for solving the problems of the future through innovation, technology, and design to build better businesses for the future.
  • Program/project management skills would be preferred but not mandatory.
