Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and execute customer sales orders in a timely manner.
- Provide initial support for customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Enhance the overall customer experience through exceptional service.
- Collaborate with various internal teams (M&S, Supply Chain, P&O, QM, and Finance) to deliver on Sasol's value proposition and achieve excellence in customer service.
Accountabilities:
- Receive, record, and execute sales orders, including Debit/Credit, rebates, commissions, and sample orders in SAP, ensuring compliance with Sasol's business processes and governance framework.
- Monitor the status of open orders, verify documentation, identify and resolve issues, and keep customers and relevant internal teams informed of any deviations.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding the status of their SAP orders (order confirmations, delivery confirmations, and delivery dates).
- Investigate and resolve customer queries within established targets.
- Manage consignment stock processes, including reconciliation and invoicing as necessary.
- Issue pro forma invoices in coordination with M&S when applicable.
- Ensure timely follow-up on payment reminders to customers in collaboration with relevant functions (M&S, Finance, SC) as needed.
- Oversee letters of credit in conjunction with applicable functions.
- Maintain SAP order processes through regular housekeeping.
Qualifications:
- Commercial education is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar customer service environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and information systems.
- Experience in customer service or inside sales with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of chemical operations and products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
- A collaborative team player with strong intercultural skills, capable of working across diverse cultures and languages.
- Ability to manage stress and work under pressure while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in both German and English, with additional languages being an advantage.
