Director of Channel Management for Central and Eastern Europe

Your RoleAs Director of Channel Management for Central and Eastern Europe, you will lead the Channel Management Team in Holzminden, Germany, and collaborate closely with the Channel Management teams of other EAME-Market Clusters. Your primary objective is to drive sustainable and profitable growth for your region through effective partnerships with distribution partners.
- You will lead the channel management sales teams and guide the customer/distributor teams through goal setting and performance reviews.
- You will establish the necessary framework, including legal contracts, to successfully drive business relationships with distribution partners.
- You will build and maintain a strong internal network with relevant account managers and other stakeholders from the regional/global Symrise team involved in distributor management.
- You will closely monitor and manage performance, particularly revenue and profitability, in accordance with set targets and take corrective actions in a timely manner.
- You will be accountable for pricing strategy and ensure its implementation in alignment with business units and pricing managers.
- You will drive business development of the cluster with 3rd Party sales organization.
- You will develop, communicate, and implement country/subregional strategies to proactively drive geographical growth ambitions and respond to/anticipate relevant market developments in a timely manner.
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a degree in Business Administration or equivalent. You should have a minimum of 10 years of commercial experience in the international Flavor and Ingredient industry.
You should have experience in distributor management and be able to find the right balance between sensitivity and assertiveness. You should also have experience in team leadership and cross-functional team management.
You should be a strategic thinker with a conceptual approach and a hands-on doer. You should have outstanding commercial acumen, negotiation, influencing, presentation, and communication skills, as well as project and legal contract management skills.
You should be a fluent speaker of business English and ideally have a good command of another major language, preferably German.
