Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified PhD student to join our team at the University of Cologne's Department of Dermatology. The successful candidate will be part of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1218, focusing on mitochondrial regulation of cellular function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the area of mitochondrial function in skin inflammation and regeneration
  • Collaborate with our team of scientists to advance our understanding of mitochondrial regulation
  • Develop and implement research projects, including mouse work
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (molecular biology, biochemistry, etc.)
  • Strong background in molecular biology and enthusiasm for studying disease processes
  • Previous experience in mouse work is desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
