As the "Sales Director - Mittelstand, Germany", you will initially serve as a second-line leader, guiding a team of leaders and field sales representatives. Your role will involve executing and refining our market strategy to optimize business expansion. You will play a crucial role in nurturing and managing your team to drive revenue and meet individual, team, and organizational objectives.
Your Contribution
- Oversee a team of sales leaders and field representatives to achieve revenue targets while consistently building a strong sales pipeline and acquiring new customers.
- Develop a comprehensive sales execution strategy that addresses short-, mid-, and long-term goals for sustainable growth.
- Gain a deep understanding of the needs of Mittelstand clients through research and data analysis to inform their priorities.
- Support your team by conducting account plan reviews and participating in key customer meetings.
- Engage in regular territory pipeline assessments and forecasting activities to coach direct reports on effective closure strategies.
- Lead by example, actively participating in relationship building and opportunity development to assist your team in closing deals.
- Cultivate a high-performance sales culture that drives results in bookings, sales development, and forecast accuracy while mentoring and developing your team.
- Communicate effectively with leaders at all levels, including C-suite executives, to establish open and trusting relationships.
- Build a successful team through targeted recruitment and training, upholding our core values.
Your Qualifications
- Proven experience and knowledge of SaaS and cloud-based architectures, particularly in networking and/or security.
- Experience with channel and partner sales models.
- Demonstrated ability to create diverse, high-performing teams in a rapidly evolving sales environment.
- Visionary leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams to achieve the highest standards of performance.
- Consistent year-over-year success in building sales pipelines, managing them effectively, and converting leads.
- Highly driven with a focus on execution, a strong sense of urgency, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven history of meeting revenue targets while prioritizing team development and growth.
- Ability to navigate organizational dynamics effectively.
- Excellent influencing skills, both externally and internally, in a matrixed environment; capable of effective communication and consensus-building across various functional groups.
- A collaborative team player, fostering strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
