Key Responsibilities
Embark on an exciting journey by supporting the international expansion of a rapidly growing digital banking entity, focused on establishing a presence in Germany.
Collaborate closely with our central Compliance teams to formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for a successful market entry in Germany.
As a member of our local German team, you will report directly to the Country Manager while maintaining a functional reporting line to the Chief Compliance Officer based in Paris.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities (Bundesbank, Bafin, Tracfin, Schufa).
- Actively engaging in the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism (LCB/FT), along with various compliance-related risk areas (client protection, advertising and communication, claims, market abuse, fraud), in close coordination with the French team.
- Overseeing compliance-related procedures and controls specific to Germany, ensuring synergy with the French documentation and processes.
- Identifying regulatory gaps within the German framework and recommending enhancements to bolster compliance and mitigate risks.
- Providing training and guidance to staff on compliance standards and best practices, utilizing resources from both internal and Crédit Agricole Group materials.
- Suggesting effective corrective actions to minimize compliance risks and fraud, facilitating a successful banking operation in Germany.
