Senior Manager for New Market Initiatives

- Identifying key strategic areas for new business ventures at SCHOTT, along with assessing potential markets and applications.
- Leading teams with budget oversight in intricate, international new business initiatives that involve advanced technological concepts.
- Developing conceptual frameworks (business/sales/implementation models) for targeted applications.
- Creating effective business plans to facilitate informed decision-making and operational execution.
- Engaging proactively with internal departments, prospective clients, and external collaborators.
- Translating innovative business concepts into actionable strategies within business units, while aiding in the formulation of marketing and sales strategies for new products.
Your Profile
- Outstanding academic credentials in business management/science or business administration and engineering, ideally with a PhD, or a technical/natural science degree complemented by business training and a proven business record.
- Extensive international experience in the business/new business development sector of a technology firm or a prestigious consultancy with a strong technological emphasis.
- Exceptional ability to convert technological insights into business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a robust commitment to teamwork.
- Thorough experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data.
- Proficient in monitoring market trends and competitors, with the ability to identify necessary strategic actions.
- Familiarity with technological advancements relevant to SCHOTT and the capacity to pinpoint innovative product concepts and business sectors.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating on international projects as part of cross-functional teams, with project management experience being advantageous.
- Fluent in business English (both written and spoken), with knowledge of additional languages and a readiness to travel internationally.
- Preferably experienced in Semiconductor, Microelectronics, or MedTech sectors, including materials and value chains.
