This position is integrated into a developmental program aimed at nurturing talents who aspire to progress into new roles within a 3 to 5-year timeframe through self-directed growth. Participants will gain exposure to diverse business sectors, fostering networking opportunities and visibility at the executive level.
Your Responsibilities
- Identifying and cultivating new business prospects that align with SCHOTT's existing operations.
- Conducting strategic assessments to pinpoint new business opportunities for SCHOTT, including market and application analysis.
- Leading teams with budget responsibilities on complex, international new business initiatives that involve advanced technological concepts.
- Developing conceptual frameworks (business, sales, implementation models) for selected applications.
- Creating targeted business plans to facilitate decision-making and operational execution.
- Engaging proactively with internal departments, potential clients, and external partners.
- Translating business concepts into actionable strategies within business units, while assisting in the formulation of marketing and sales strategies for new products.
Your Profile
- A distinguished university degree in a technical, natural science, or materials discipline, ideally complemented by a doctorate and additional business training, showcasing a proven business record.
- A strong business insight combined with a profound technological understanding.
- Extensive international experience in business or new business development within a technology firm or a prestigious consultancy with a strong technological emphasis.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual capabilities, with experience in compiling, evaluating, and interpreting market analyses.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong dedication to teamwork.
- Familiarity with technological trends in the MEDTECH and Life Sciences sectors, alongside the ability to identify innovative product concepts and business opportunities.
- A proven history of successful collaboration in international projects as part of cross-functional teams, ideally with project management experience.
- Fluency in business English (both written and spoken); proficiency in German is an advantage.
