PhD Student in Epidemiology of Cardiometabolic Disease

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our team in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University of Freiburg. As a PhD student, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the epidemiology of cardiometabolic disease.
Responsibilities- Conduct statistical analyses of population-based imaging data to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of cardiometabolic diseases.
- Identify relevant hypotheses and research questions to advance our understanding of cardiometabolic health.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and computer scientists to design and implement studies.
- Support the supervision of projects for research interns and MD students.
- Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, medicine, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical methods and software, preferably R.
- Very good command of English language (written and spoken).
- First experience with the analysis of epidemiological data sets.
