Role Purpose:
The Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly management reporting, which includes financial statements and functional expense reports, alongside relevant KPIs. This position is responsible for overseeing the Annual Plan (Budget), forecasts, and Latest Estimate (LE) processes, actively participating in the budgeting and planning for capital expenditures, headcount, and OPEX, while implementing necessary review processes. Additionally, the analyst will conduct thorough analysis during the month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the preparation and delivery of precise and timely monthly management reports, encompassing financial statements and functional expense reports, along with relevant KPIs.
- Oversee the Annual Plan (Budget), forecasts, and Latest Estimate (LE) processes, engaging proactively in the budgeting and planning for capital expenditures, headcount, and OPEX, while ensuring effective review processes are in place.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis during month-end close activities.
- Perform ad-hoc business analysis and execute detailed financial analyses, utilizing findings to provide insights to management.
- Deliver financial analysis to support both tactical and strategic decision-making, including input for business cases, cost analysis, and scenario modeling as required by business leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Marketing, and Finance to enhance integrated planning processes and systems.
- Manage accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and financial activities for the product engineering center to support business operations.
- Create financial presentations for management and other stakeholders as needed.
- Address complex issues where analysis of situations or data necessitates a thorough evaluation of various factors.
- Exercise discretion in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
- Engage with key contacts outside of the area of expertise.
- Assist colleagues with complex tasks that require significant judgment and initiative.
- Provide mentorship to other staff as applicable.
- Support various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Required Skills:
- Experience in the life sciences industry is advantageous.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Experience in a multinational organization is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems is required, with BW and SAP experience preferred.
- Advanced skills in Excel, databases, and PowerPoint are essential.
- Experience with financial planning systems, such as Anaplan, is preferred.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to act as a functional business partner are necessary.
- Advanced financial modeling skills are required.
- Experience collaborating with senior management is essential.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Ability to interpret complex data is necessary.
- Strong prioritization skills are essential.
